Fun fact:
Loves honey – any kind, anyhow, anywhere

You recently made a transition from fashion to your own jewelry line; has this change made you realize new things about you and your ambitions?

This transition has taught me a lesson in patience; allowing a creation to grow at its own pace in order to reach its fullest expression. I am also learning every day from my friends, new and old, who have supported me in profound and unexpected ways. I cannot say where I would be without their collaboration and care for me.

What has been your favorite and worst day as a featured artist (Eyde) in LENITA?

Favorite day: All my days being featured in Lenita share a blissful feeling. I get to spend the day with my friend, surrounded by beautiful flowers, showing handmade jewelry in the sun. It's where I got my start! Some of my favorite moments include the countless hours we spent sweet talking people into giving up their perfect parking spots, scheming to avoid parking tickets and coming up with grand ideas for future collaborations.

Worst Day: I would have to say the "worst day" (but actually just the most stressful day) was when we were on our way to the Eastside Handmade Market in Highland Park and Lenita overheated on the freeway. We were just a couple of artists with a broken down van full of flowers and no idea how to fix it. Luckily some wonderful stranger saved the day when they saw us struggling and came over to help us and we were off to the market!

Being from Los Angeles, what’s it like having lived in perfect weather from day one. And when you want to escape, where do you go?

Living in perfect weather has been... perfect. I wouldn't trade it for anything. That being said, I try to leave the country once a year for a much needed escape to explore the world. My last big trip was traveling through Tuscany by motorbike and up next is Morocco.

Your last dream:

I fell off a cliff while making a turn in my car. I closed my eyes and fell for a really long time, and when I reached the ground I was totally fine. (Clue: I went to bed that night watching Indiana Jones...)

Open ended: Leave Lenita a poem, a song, a few sentences, a thought.

And then the day came, when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.
