LENITA’S ROOTS
LENITA Flower Truck was founded in 2017 by creative director Nemuel DePaula. Born in Alvarenga, a small farm town in Minas Gerais, Brazil, he migrated to the South Shore of Boston along with his family at the age of ten. Since starting the design studio GRITA, now based in Los Angeles, Nemuel has worked with several prominent creatives including art-book publisher Taschen; collaborating with artists such as Ren Hang and David LaChapelle.
On Mother’s Day, 2023, LENITA opened its first retail shop located in Highland Park. From local artists to farms, the shop expanded the truck’s mission to celebrate the city and the unique faces that push it forward. LENITA continues to invite folks from near and far to simply ‘stop andsmell the flores’.
LENITA is named after Nemuel’s mother — for all feminine and effeminatepeople and personas.
