MY MOTHER
Lenita, LENITA BY GRITA's muse
On March 8th, we celebrate International Women’s Day and - in case you didn't already know - LENITA is named after my mother.

I get asked a lot if we’re a women owned+run business and obviously, we're not. But we're a business owned and run by someone who celebrates women and LENITA is an homage to not only my mother but my sister, aunts and all of the women in my life. This even extends to the artists, shops and people who stop by the flower truck. My hope is that one day equality will be our reality and that until then, small gestures by men, women and people of all ages, genders, sexual orientations and nationalities keep shining a light on the strength and power of women throughout the world; from Beyonce to Michelle Obama to a stay home mom, we celebrate you!

Our featured artist this month is Danielle Yukari, a Brazilian ceramic artist based in Los Angeles. She’ll be joining us for the month as we revisit some of our previous locations and explore new ones such as Hilltop Coffee + Kitchen, where we can't wait to try the “Fish, don't kill my vibe" bowl. Hilltop is located behind the Slauson Arcade on the Westside.

Many thanks and see you at the truck!
