We asked Jamila to model our new corduroy hat and got curious about what she loves about both LENITA and her own business.
We learned that she grew up going to the farmer’s market with her family in Caucasus and Dagestan, the only places to shop for fresh produce. Jamila harnessed that buzzing energy from her childhood and brought it to Los Angeles in 2017. Since then, she has offered the best avocado toast at several markets throughout town along with unique produce sold online.
What she loves most about her business goes beyond seeing her clients’ joy when receiving their weekly order; it’s about the beautiful memories her goods are creating. As for LENITA, Jamila believes we're "an experience of joy" and that we share a love for supporting local growers and creators. "Buying a bouquet of flowers means not only a nod to LENITA but also to all the people behind the growing process, making it (even) more special."
