OUR ROOTS ARE WOMEN
All of my childhood memories of flowers and plants are linked to my mother, Lenita. I used to bring her flores from the fields or from neighbors gardens, and our home was filled with plants outgrowing their pots.
Naming the flower truck LENITA was a direct tribute to the amazing woman she is. This celebration also extends to her sisters (whom our blooms are named after): Carmelita, Carmozita and Rezonita, and to my own sister, Leticia.
LENITA honors all feminine and effeminate people and personas who inspire us daily, whose strong roots keep us grounded and continue to generate life.
Happy Women's History Month!
